  The MOST upvoted and recommended place on the post used to source this list over in r/chicagofood. People recommend the Pajun pancakes and the Cinnamon pancakes, but after a few google searches everything looks worth trying!

  Tapas style brunch, everything is good and since it is Tapas you can try a little bit of everything! They also have breakfast paella. They are a bit on the pricey side as most tapas places are just FYI.

  Cash only no frills diner in Uptown, another place that passes the vibe check even if the food is not memorable, oh and prices are pretty darn good apparently.

• 16. Honeybear Cafe

  It has sort of gotten too popular, it is always super busy with a long wait if you arrive any time after 8am on Sundays. It it expensive but the plates are huge so you get your money's worth.

• 17. Iguana Cafe

  On Halsted. 25+ year place, with great coffee, breakfast bagel sandwiches, amazing crepes. Folks noted it opens late.

• 18. La Catedral Cafe

  In little village, award winning and guadalajara-inspired menu. Their chilaquiles get mentioned a lot.

  You go here for the cafe de olla, sometimes in the winter they have ponche, and the staff are incredibly kind

  Really fun vibe breakfast spot, the food can be hit or miss but the vibes are great. Also they have a pretty amazing patio!

  Little Italy. Classic, delicious breakfast in a cozy space. Occasionally closed to film Chicago PD/Fire.

  Long-standing Swedish family spot in the NW side. Cozy neighborhood vibe. Get the quiche, cinnamon rolls, and Swedish pancakes with lingonberry jam. Corned beef hash also praised.
